10 advantages of learning at the Department of Biotechnology and Engineering in NTUU "KPI"

1. Education in the best university of Ukraine. According to the project "Top 200 Ukraine" in 2015-2016 National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" took 1-st place.

6. Acquiring modern computer engineering CAD packages. Scientific School "Modelling of physical processes of pharmaceutical and biotechnological equipment" works on the basis of the department of Biotechnology and Engineering of "KPI", which is devoted to mathematics and computer modeling of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, mechanical stresses in the facility and equipment of pharmaceutical, biotech, food and energy production equipment. While studying, our students get closer with modern computer products: MathCad, MatLab, Simulink, OriginLab, KOMPAS-3D, AutoCad, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Comsol Multiphysics.

Scientific schools and seminars also acting at the department: "Dynamics of mass transfer in apparatus for cells’ cultivation", "Noise and vibration" and "Dynamics of multiphase mechanical systems."

7. The opportunity to participate in international programs. Study exchange, receive a double degree in Finance International University, participating in the programs Erasmus +, Sikorsky Challenge and many others.

8. Possibility of  scientific work. For 15 years of chair existence, students and young scientists received more than 100 patents Ukraine, 10 scholarships of the President of Ukraine, 3 scholarships of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1 scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 6 scholarships of mayor of Kiev, 10 scholarships of rector of NTUU "KPI" and 8 scholarships of D. Andrievsky deputy. More than 20 students were winners of national competitions and scientific research contests. 4 graduates of biotechnology and engineering department have defended their dissertations.

9. Study in an old campus №4. Classes are held in the old chemical campus, built in 1898, in which at the time D. I. Mendeleev was working in. It does create a unique atmosphere for learning.

 

10. Receiving an Engineer Diploma of NTUU "KPI". An engineer diploma of NTU "KPI" is valued by many employers and is recognized throughout the European Union.
